Fanfare Jarry is a collective of Montréal musicians whose objective is to share their love for making music with others.

Inspired by the fanfares of Eastern Europe the band is comprised of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. Its repertoire includes traditional Balkan songs as well as original compositions created by leader Charles Duquette. Trained at the Université of Montréal in classical percussion, Charles draws from his background in contemporary music as well as the multi-cultural atmosphere of his neighbourhood Parc-Extension as a source of artistic inspiration.

Founded in 2012, the goal of this Fanfare is to reach out to the public and offer a musical experience that is full of life and diversity. The combination of clarinets, trumpets, saxophones, euphoniums, tuba and percussion creates a rich and attention grabbing tapestry of sound. Whether it is on stage, at an outdoor show or while performing in a parade, Fanfare Jarry is sure to provide an experience full of emotion, festivity and energy!
